Bahiagrass

Bahiagrass

Bahia grass was developed as a warm season pasture grass and was introduced to Florida in the 1940s. Bahia is one of the most drought and heat tolerant varieties on the planet. It is extremely durable and features wider blades than other wear tolerant varieties of grass like bermuda. This variety does not perform well in shade but thrives in full sun. It has low water and nutrient requirements.
